The music of the pearl
The music in the story meant that the song of evil had left and went back to it's home were the pearl belongs and found it's inner peace to the sea. The pearl symbolizes all two subjects opportunity, evil.opportunity because they had a chance to sell the pearl and get it out of their lives and had some money to take coyotito to school and help he's needs.Evil because they brought more and more people to want the pearl and they would do anything to have the pearl and because of this it has cause the death of a baby and a man. The affect of the pearl on Kino's family caused the death of a baby (Coyotito) and a random man this as also caused of Kino beating he's future wife (Juana) also he had wanted more money so he traveled and still wasn't happey about the outcome.Greed and evil symbolized kino when he had the pearl. he still wanted more money so he can pay for things and he still never got what he wanted. Evil because he had killed a man and had beaten a women just for the pearl and for the money in the end had came out with nothing.

You met the standard by answering all the questions with detail, but you only answered what you needed to answer. You could have gone into a little more detail though. You also didn't go into much detail with the symbolism of the pearl. Other than that the comment was good and if i had never read the book i would be interested in reading The Pearl.I also think that you could have done a slightly better job with making the connection with Kino's family and how the pearl effected the family.
